Kenyans looking for affordable cars and commercial trucks have a new opportunity after Co-operative Bank of Kenya unveiled a public auction featuring 23 different vehicles. The list includes everything from small hatchbacks to heavy-duty trucks and even high-end luxury SUVs. The bank says the move is part of a structured disposal process of repossessed and fleet vehicles.

The announcement, made through an official notice dated April 22, 2026, has already attracted attention due to the wide price range. Some units are going for as low as KSh 100,000, making the auction accessible to budget buyers. At the same time, high-value commercial vehicles are also part of the sale, appealing to business operators and fleet investors.

The auction list features a mix of everyday passenger cars and commercial machinery. Among the cheapest options is a 2007 Toyota Lite priced at KSh 100,000, while models such as Nissan Note and Mazda Demio are listed below the KSh 1 million mark. These vehicles are expected to attract strong interest from first-time buyers and small traders.

On the higher end, the auction includes premium and heavy-duty units such as a Porsche Cayenne, various Isuzu trucks, and newer model commercial vehicles. One of the most expensive entries is an Isuzu FVZ truck valued at over KSh 6 million. The wide pricing structure reflects the diversity of assets being cleared by the bank.

The detailed list released by the bank shows vehicles spread across multiple storage yards in Nairobi, Thika, Eldoret, Embu, Meru, and Mombasa Road. Each unit has a reserve price, registration number, and designated viewing location. Interested bidders are expected to physically inspect vehicles before placing any offer.

Buyers will find a mix of brands, including Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Isuzu, Peugeot, and Proton, among others. Popular models such as Toyota Vitz, Nissan X-Trail, and Mazda Demio feature prominently in the list. Commercial operators may also be drawn to the Isuzu cargo trucks included in the auction.

The bank has emphasised that all vehicles will be sold on an “as is, where is” basis, meaning no repairs or guarantees will be provided after purchase. A non-refundable bidding fee of KSh 3,000 has also been set for all participants. Additionally, bidders must settle full payment within 24 hours once they receive an award letter.

All transactions and communication will be handled digitally through the bank’s official auction portal. The platform, vehiclesales.co-opbank.co.ke, will remain open for bidding until May 6, 2026. The bank has also warned that late submissions or duplicate bids for the same vehicle will not be accepted.

The shift to online bidding reflects a growing trend among financial institutions in Kenya to digitise asset disposal. It also offers wider access to buyers across the country who may not be able to attend physical auctions. Interested participants can inspect vehicles at designated yards before placing bids.

For further inquiries, the bank has provided a contact number for support. As the deadline approaches, competition is expected to rise, especially for low-priced units and fuel-efficient cars. With prices starting at just KSh 100,000, the auction is likely to draw both individual buyers and small business owners looking for affordable mobility solutions.
