Bees Disrupt Police Station in Kilifi

A swarm of bees brought activity to a standstill at the Kilifi Central Police Station on Wednesday after the insects invaded the compound and sent officers and civilians fleeing in panic.

The disturbance began shortly after noon when the bees clustered near the evidence room and spread toward the main report desk. Witnesses said several officers were stung as they ran for safety.

“It was like something out of a movie,” said Mary Kadzo, a fruit vendor whose stall faces the station. “Everyone was running, police, suspects, even the guard dogs.”
