Defending FKF Premier League champions Kenya Police FC have received a huge financial lift after signing a Ksh 25 million sponsorship deal with Co-operative Bank of Kenya.

The partnership, unveiled in Nairobi on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, is among the biggest corporate investments in the club’s history. It positions the law enforcers to grow stronger both on and off the pitch.

The deal makes Co-operative Bank the official shirt sponsor for the 2025/26 season.

Funds will go into player welfare, technical support, logistics, and youth development, areas the club says are key to long-term success.

Club patron PS Raymond Omollo welcomed the partnership, saying it will help Police FC remain competitive domestically and in continental football.

“We are deeply grateful to the Bank for this timely support, which comes as the Club, reigning champions of last season’s Kenya Premier League, continues to fly our flag high in the ongoing CAF tournament,” said Omollo.

Co-operative Bank officials described the deal as part of the bank’s social commitment:

“Football remains a unifying force in Kenya, and through this sponsorship, we want to inspire young people, support law enforcement officers, and promote positive values on and off the field.”

Kenya Police FC will represent Kenya in the 2025/26 CAF Champions League after winning last season’s Premier League.

CAF has increased participation support for clubs in the early rounds, with each team receiving USD 100,000 (about Ksh 13–14 million) for logistics and match costs.

The club advanced past Mogadishu FC on away goals and will face Al Hilal of Sudan in the Second Preliminary Round.

The sponsorship comes at a time when many Kenyan clubs face financial struggles, relying on single sponsors or patrons.

With limited broadcasting revenue and underdeveloped commercial streams, sponsorships like Co-op Bank’s are crucial for stability and ambition.

Police FC, already champions, are now looking to cement their place among the continent’s best, proving that with ambition, structure, and belief, Kenyan football can rise again.
