SportPesa has returned to the Kenyan football scene with a major sponsorship deal worth KSh1.12 billion, making the gaming company the official title sponsor of the FKF Premier League for the next decade.
The partnership was launched at an official event in Nairobi, where it was revealed that SportPesa will inject KSh85 million into the league in the 2025/26 season alone.
Out of this amount, 60% will be allocated directly to the 18 top-flight clubs, while 40% will go towards league operations, logistics, and administration.
Each FKF Premier League club is set to receive around KSh2.8 million per season, which translates to KSh120,000 every month, a significant boost for teams struggling with financial stability.
SportPesa CEO Ronald Karauri said the deal is a strong message of renewed hope.
“We are thrilled to partner with FKF once again. Our goal is to restore the glory of Kenyan football and make steady progress in the years ahead. This is a leap of faith and a call to other corporates to join us in supporting local sports.
FKF President Hussein Mohammed hailed the move as a breakthrough for football development in the country.
“This is a transformative chapter. We are grateful to SportPesa for believing in our vision. This deal signals renewed hope and a stronger future for the game.”
As part of the deal, SportPesa will also provide 5,000 replica jerseys to rally support for the Harambee Stars ahead of the upcoming CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN).
The sponsorship is expected to bring financial relief to clubs, enhance the competitiveness of the league, and strengthen football structures in Kenya.
Branding activations, rollout plans, and other incentives under the deal will be revealed soon.
