Salasya Under Fire Over Alleged Sh40M State Funding to Derail Gen Z Unity

  • Maverick Aoko now claims MP Peter Salasya is part of a government plan to split the youth vote ahead of 2027.
  • She alleges the funding behind him is from the state, funneled through NIS and linked to Oscar Sudi.
  • Galana Energies allegedly funded his recent convoy using government money.

Political commentator Maverick Aoko has made strong claims against Mumias East MP Peter Salasya, accusing him of being used in a state-funded mission to break up the growing Gen Z political voice. According to Aoko, government agencies are behind Salasya’s sudden rise, providing him with resources and support for a hidden agenda.

Aoko alleges that Pesa ya Salasya comes straight from the National Intelligence Service (NIS) and is managed through Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi. She questions Salasya’s long social media activity on the same topics, suggesting he’s simply echoing narratives given to him.

Past Advocacy Abandoned

She also raised concerns over Salasya’s silence on the Mumias Sugar issue, saying he no longer fights for it because cartels have allegedly compromised him. She claims smuggled sugar is now being sold under the Mumias brand, misleading the public.

Misuse of Constituency Resources?

Aoko accuses the first-term MP of bragging about CDF projects started by his predecessor. More worrying, she claims Salasya is involved in selling bursary cheques to schools, asking where he gets money for constant partying and alcohol despite earning just Ksh 18,000 monthly after deductions.

Academic Doubts and Rising Criticism

Mocking his academic credentials, Aoko says despite claiming to have studied Economics, Salasya often struggles to speak clearly or make sense. She also calls him a charlatan, blaming him for trying to divide Kenya’s youth using state funds.

Shocking Claims About 2027 Campaign Plans

In a deeper revelation, Aoko claims Salasya has already collected Ksh 40 million from State House Comptroller Katoo Ole Metito to run as a “youthful presidential candidate” in 2027. She says this move is aimed at eating into the Western and youth vote, weakening serious alternatives.

New Party and Government-Funded Convoy

According to Aoko, Salasya is now planning to launch his own youth-based party, despite being elected through DAP-K, which she says has not wronged him. She questions why he’s not mobilizing youth under Natembeya’s Tawe Movement or DAP-K itself.

Further, she claims that Salasya’s coastal tour using a convoy of over 10 vehicles was funded by the state. The fuel bills were reportedly cleared at Galana Energies, with government money footing the cost.
