KNEC Releases 2025 KCSE Exam Timetable

The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has officially released the 2025 KCSE examination timetable, outlining key dates and schedules for candidates across the country.

According to the schedule published on Thursday, March 13, practical subjects such as Agriculture and Computer Studies began earlier in the year, requiring students to complete a 7-month project before the final assessments.

Key Exam Dates

The official rehearsal for all candidates will take place on Friday, October 17, 2025.

The main written exams will kick off on Monday, November 3, 2025, with students tackling English Paper 1 and Chemistry Paper 1. Mathematics Paper 1 is set for the following day, Tuesday, November 4.

The national exams will conclude on Friday, November 21, 2025, with the Physics practical examination scheduled for that day.

KNEC’s Strict Warning on Exam Malpractice

KNEC has urged students and teachers to adequately prepare for the exams while issuing a strong warning against any form of malpractice.

“Anyone who gains access to exam materials and discloses them to unauthorized individuals—whether a candidate or not—will be breaching Section 27 of the Act and will face imprisonment for up to 10 years, a fine of up to Ksh2 million, or both,” the council stated.

Additionally, those who intentionally destroy examination materials will be charged under Section 30 of the Act, attracting a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison, a fine of Ksh5 million, or both.

As preparations continue, candidates are encouraged to focus on their studies and adhere to all regulations to ensure a smooth examination process.
