- Urges Raila to choose between Ruto or the opposition, criticizing indecisiveness.

- Defends Chief Justice Martha Koome, insisting on legal processes for removal.
- Raila’s political future is uncertain, with several leaders, including Ruto, seeking his allegiance.
Speaking on Radio Maisha on Monday, February 24, Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua stated that she is open to working with Raila Odinga but insists he must make a clear political decision.
Karua challenged Odinga to either align fully with President William Ruto or remain in opposition, criticizing the “one foot in, one foot out” approach.
“I won’t dictate anything to him; I’ll just tell him it’s a free market. But if he chooses to work with Ruto, he should formalize it with a post-election coalition agreement, so we know his stance. This issue of having one foot in and one foot out is unfair to Kenyans.”
Despite their political differences, Karua emphasized that she still considers Odinga a brother and a friend and is willing to work with him if their political interests align.
Karua Defends Chief Justice Koome Amid Political Tensions
Karua also weighed in on attempts to remove Chief Justice Martha Koome, insisting that any efforts to oust her must follow legal channels.
“I believe everything should be done legally; otherwise, it’s just hot air.”
Her comments come at a time when political realignments are intensifying, especially following Raila Odinga’s loss in the African Union Commission (AUC) elections. President Ruto and other leaders are reportedly courting Raila in a bid to gain his political backing.
As the 2027 elections approach, all eyes remain on Raila’s next political move—and whether he will heed Karua’s call for clarity.
