Content creator Eve Mungai has opened up about her previous relationship with Director Trevor, accusing him of exerting control over her Instagram account and dictating her social media activity. The revelations come as both continue to address their breakup and its aftermath publicly.
Allegations of Control
Speaking in an interview with Lydia Wanjiru, Mungai disclosed that Trevor restricted her Instagram activity, insisting she follow no more than 200 accounts. He even directed her to unfollow certain individuals based on personal judgments.
“He was unfollowing very many of my followers. I was being told not to follow more than 200 people. I was told to unfollow you because you are not beautiful,” Mungai recounted.
Wanjiru also recalled being unfollowed shortly after predicting that Mungai’s relationship with Trevor would end.
Post-Breakup Tensions
The couple’s 2024 breakup not only ended their personal relationship but also necessitated a rebranding of their joint project, the Mungai Eve Show.
Trevor has since shared his frustrations, alleging mistreatment during the split. In a recent interview, he claimed that Mungai made him wait outside her door before sending him money to move out. He accused her of delaying his departure to inspect what he was taking and providing a smaller amount than what they had agreed upon.
“I was angry because I left her with all we built together. I sacrificed,” Trevor said, referring to their shared efforts in building properties in Nairobi and upcountry.
