Mohamed Salah Expresses Disappointment Over Contract Situation at Liverpool

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has revealed his disappointment over the club’s failure to offer him a new contract as his current deal nears its end. Salah, who has been instrumental for Liverpool this season, hinted that he is “probably more out than in” when discussing his future at the club.

Uncertain Future at Liverpool

Salah’s contract, signed in 2022, is set to expire next summer. Despite his stellar performances, including scoring twice in Liverpool’s 3-2 win over Southampton to secure an eight-point lead at the top of the Premier League, he has yet to receive an extension offer.

Speaking after the Southampton game, Salah expressed his frustration:
“We are almost in December, and I haven’t received any offers yet to stay at the club. I’m disappointed but focusing on the season and trying to win the Premier League and Champions League.”

Liverpool’s Response and Interest from Saudi Arabia

Liverpool has not commented publicly on Salah’s remarks, though club sources have described ongoing contact with his agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, as positive.

Salah remains a target for Saudi Arabia’s Pro League, with Al-Ittihad previously making a £150m bid that Liverpool rejected. Reports suggest the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF) is still keen on securing his signature.

Salah’s Love for Liverpool

Despite the uncertainty, Salah reaffirmed his love for Liverpool and its fans:
“You know I have been in the club for many years. There is no club like this. I love the fans, and the fans love me. But it’s not in my hands or theirs.”

As Salah’s future hangs in the balance, Liverpool may face increasing pressure to resolve the contract situation. As one of the Premier League’s top scorers and a key figure for the Reds, his departure would leave a significant void in the tea
