Kenya Police FC have been disciplined on the home soil after going down 1-0 against Zamalek of Egypt. The preliminary round tie has left the law enforcers with a mountain to climb in the CAF Confederations journey. The match was staged at Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi on Saturday afternoon.

However, after recording the results,this means that the Kenyan side, Police FC, must win the return leg in Cairo next week by at least 2-0 for them to sail to the next level.
Zamalek dominated the game with a high possession in the first 45 minutes of the match.The Anthony Modo Kimani coached side took long time to settle in the game.Jesse Were got a chance to put the Kenya Police ahead in the second quarter game of the game but he skied his chance high.
The law enforcers will have to work on their defence which gave away the free kick, leading to the opener. The second half saw Police up their search for an equalizer with the game played in the opposition’s half but try as they may the game ended 1-0 in favour of the visitors.
The second half began with the Egyptians looking more comfortable, but Police repeatedly broke the line, creating some excellent chances, but to no avail.
The two teams will meet again in Cairo on Friday, with the aggregate winner progressing to the competition’s knockout stage.
