- Cameroon has won against Namibia and drawn with Zimbabwe in their two matches played.
In the AFCON tournament’s qualifying rounds, Cameroon’s goalkeeper Andrea Onana, who also plays for Manchester United, declared that he has nightmares of facing Harambee Stars.
Onana made these remarks during a news conference in a video that has gone viral following their match that ended in a draw with Zimbabwe. Cameroon is grouped in Group J including Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Kenya.
So far, all sides in Group J have played two matches, with Kenya’s Harambee Stars leading the table with four points. Cameroon is second with the same number of points, but Kenya scored the most goals.
“Kenya is the only team in our group that gives us strong competition but we hope we will reach the qualifying stage.” He said.
Harambee Stars will face the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the third match of Group J on October 7, 2024, before hosting the same Cameroon on October 15, 2024, in the second round.
