“I sincerely regret for the remarks I made about the demonstrations and the veracity of several photos. My remarks during the furious debate of the Finance Bill were needless, foolish, and inconsiderate” Kiarie said.

The lawmaker also hinted that he valued and respected the bravery and inventiveness exhibited by the younger generation by pushing for reform through.

By using social media to advocate for change, the legislator further hinted that he valued and celebrated the bravery and inventiveness displayed by the younger generation.

“I truly apologise for any offence, hurt, or provocation that my remarks may have caused. The MP said, “I have learned a lot from this and from all the active listening I have done since.” Kiarie asserted during the Finance Bill debate in Parliament that he was a specialist in photography and that the protest photographs that were doing the rounds online were taken elsewhere.

“As a graphic editor, I can assure you that some of the pictures we were viewing are not from this nation. Images were being downloaded from the internet” he said.

Since then, the legislator has seen criticism from online users and was heckled a few days ago when speaking at a funeral in his constituency.
