Amos Kimunya’s Wife is Dead
The wife of the Former MP for Kipiriri has been confirmed dead. She passed on Tuesday night while undergoing treatment in Nairobi Hospital.
The cause of her death has not been disclosed by the family.
While sharing the information with X followers, Kimunya credited his political success to her wife.
It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that I wish to announce that this Tuesday morning at 3:00am my dear wife Lucy went to be with the lord, while receiving care at Nairobi Hospital.
She was key pillar in both my personal and political life, she contributed immensely to making our society greener through various initiatives and supporter of the youth and women. Go well our dear Lucy, we will miss you dearly.
Amos Kimunya’s Political Life and Success
While eulogizing his wife, Kimunya said that Lucy was a great pillar of his life.
Amos Kimunya joined active politics in 2002 where he was elected as an MP for Kipipiri under NARC Kenya.
In 2003, he was appointed as land minister by the Late president, Mwai Kibaki up to 2006 when he was reshuffled to Finance docket.
After the contested presidential results of 2007 which resulted in post-election violence, he was reappointed as finance minister. He was later ousted in 2008 following Grand Regency scandal.
He later joined Jubilee party and sought MP seat for Kipipiri in 2012 and 2017 where he won. He failed to get re-elected in 2022.
