Kenyan socialite Amber Ray recently shared some personal details about the birth of her one-month-old daughter, Africanah Rapudo.

In an Instagram live session, she explained that she chose to have a normal birth because she is an active person who enjoys moving around. She mentioned that recovering from a normal birth is generally easier and quicker compared to a cesarean section, which requires more rest for the wound to heal completely.

However, Amber Ray also revealed that the birth was not without its challenges. Her doctor advised against using epidural, which is a pain-relief method during childbirth, so she had to endure the pain without it.

Additionally, she shared that she had stopped breastfeeding Africanah because she was not producing enough breast milk. Last month, she reached out to her fans for suggestions on how to increase her milk supply as this issue was causing her significant stress.

Amber Ray reflected on her first pregnancy, noting that she had no issues with milk supply for her son. She even questioned whether her age, having a child later in life, could be a contributing factor to the decrease in milk production.

Despite trying various methods such as lactating cookies and pills, her milk supply remained low. As a result, she had to introduce her baby to formula, and currently, the baby refuses to breastfeed altogether.

Amber Ray and Kennedy Rapudo joyfully welcomed their newborn daughter in May.
