- Itumbi has changed his Twitter bio from “Cabinet Secretary Nominee” to “Come Here, Go There”.
Controversial blogger Dennis Itumbi has changed his social media bio to reflect the High Court’s ruling that President William Ruto’s appointment of Chief Administrative Secretaries (CAS) was illegal.
Itumbi, a close ally of President Ruto, was among 50 people appointed to the CAS role in March 2023. He was sworn into office as ICT CAS alongside his colleagues moments after the appointment in a ceremony attended by President Ruto, his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.
After that ceremony, Itumbi quickly changed his status on his social media accounts to read “Cabinet Secretary Nominee.” However, following the High Court ruling, he has changed his status to read “Come Here, Go There” among other wordings.
The last time Itumbi used the “come here, go there” phrase was in February 2023 when he was part of the people appointed by Sports Cabinet Secretary Mr Ababu Namwamba into Talanta Hela Council. The CS has since revoked the appointments.
Itumbi was pivotal in the digital messaging during President Ruto’s presidential campaigns and even fell out with his former boss Uhuru Kenyatta as a result.
While Itumbi appears to have quickly moved on following the court ruling, some of the other CASs nominees have not changed their status as they await for the next move from the government.

Mr Isaac Mwaura, who was nominated as CAS in the office of Prime Cabinet Secretary, has not changed his bio. Millicent Omanga, who was nominated as Deputy Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Interior, has also not changed her status.
Former Narok Governor Samuel Tunai and former Laikipia Woman Representative Cate Waruguru have also not changed their bios, which still list them as CASs in their respective ministries.
The ruling has however rattled a section of lawmakers including Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei who claimed that the Judiciary has gone rogue.
