- She apologized to everyone who attended the event
- Her event promoter leaked her passports, which revealed that she lied about her age
Zari Hassan, the Ugandan socialite and businesswoman, failed to attend her own White Party in Birmingham, UK on Saturday, June 25. The mother of five apologized to her fans on social media, saying that there were contractual differences between her and the event promoter, Lady Naa.
“Apologies to everyone that turned up yesterday for the white party in Birmingham to see me but couldn’t,” Zari wrote. “Unfortunately, the promoter didn’t meet certain contractual agreements and I’m just as disappointed as everyone because I was sitting in my hotel room waiting and after so many promises, it didn’t happen.”
Lady Naa, who has not been publicly identified, defended herself in a statement to the media. She said that she and Zari had agreed that she would get two visas (Zari’s and Shakib Cham’s) and would deduct the money she used for the visas from Zari’s payment.
“We decided to do business with her this year so I organized her visa and she asked me to organize Shakib’s as well,” Lady Naa said. “She said when we do the white party, I will deduct the money that I used to get Shakib’s visa. I don’t need Shakib, he’s not the star, he’s nothing to me, I can’t pay for Shakib.”

Lady Naa also claimed that Zari is “fake” and that she only agreed to process the visas because she “had love for Zari.”
The leaked passports show that Zari was born in 1978 while her husband Shakib was born in 1992. This discrepancy has led to speculation that Zari may have lied about her age.
It is unclear what the future holds for Zari and Lady Naa. However, it is clear that the White Party fiasco has damaged both of their reputations.
