Gospel singer Moji Shortbabaa surprised his wife Nyawira with a pre-birthday bash on Saturday. The event was held at the Ms. Understood live event, where Nyawira was hosting.
Shiru wa GP, Nyawira’s favourite artiste, made a surprise appearance at the event and serenaded her with a song. The crowd was thrilled to learn that it was Nyawira’s pre-birthday, and they all shouted best birthday wishes to her.

Moji then came onto the stage with a beautifully designed cake and presented it to Nyawira. He danced vigorously to wa GP’s song as she cut the cake.
Nyawira was touched by the gesture and took to her Instagram stories to share pictures and videos from the event. She wrote, “Thank you @mojishortbabaa for the surprise birthday bash. I love you so much.”
Moji said that he first met Nyawira at an event she was managing. He was immediately attracted to her but was shy and didn’t know how to approach her.
“I was born in the hood and she came from money,” Moji said. “I thought that this rich girl looked nice, but I was like, ‘I would never try to vibe such a chick.'”
Moji said that he eventually worked up the courage to talk to Nyawira at church. They started talking and quickly realized that they had a lot in common.
“We like the same things, we have the same values, and we have the same sense of humour,” Moji said. “We just clicked.”
Moji and Nyawira got married in May 2021. Moji said that married life has been a lot different from his bachelorhood days.
“I’ve lived with people before, but I’ve never lived with another human like her,” Moji said. “It’s been a challenge, but it’s also been a blessing. I’ve learned a lot about myself and about what it means to be in a relationship.”
Moji said that he and Nyawira have had their ups and downs, but they are always there for each other.
“We’ve had our fights, but we’ve always been able to work through them,” Moji said. “We’re a team, and we’re in this together.”
Moji said that he is grateful for his wife and for the life they have built together.
“She’s my best friend, my lover, and the mother of my child,” Moji said. “I can’t imagine my life without her.”
