Moses Kuria, the current Cabinet Secretary (CS) for Investments, Trade, and Industry in Kenya, has been involved in several businesses, including hardware, media, real estate, and labour export.

Kuria’s first business venture was a hardware store called Mzee Kuria & Sons Hardware. The store was founded by Kuria’s father and is located in Thika, Kenya. The store sells a variety of hardware products, including tools, building materials, and home improvement supplies.

Kuria is also the chairperson of Proactive Media Ltd, a media company that specializes in providing digital marketing, public relations, and event management services.

The former Gatundu South legislator is also involved in real estate development. His company, Kuria Real Estate, develops and sells property in Kenya. The company has developed several residential and commercial properties in Nairobi, Thika, and other parts of Kenya.

Kuria also owns Emerging Human Capital Limited, a company that exports unskilled labour to the Middle East. The company recruits Kenyans to work in the Middle East in a variety of industries, including construction, manufacturing, and hospitality.

Finally, Kuria is a shareholder in several other businesses, including Keroche Breweries, Kemsa, and Safaricom.

Kuria’s businesses have been the subject of controversy. In 2017, he was accused of using his position as a Member of Parliament to benefit his businesses. He was also accused of tax evasion, which he denied vehemently.
