Liverpool are said to be eyeing a potential summer move for Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips.
The report suggests that the England international is open to the idea of joining Liverpool, given his current situation at City, where he has struggled to secure regular game time.
Liverpool keen to take advantage
It is believed that Liverpool are keen to take advantage of Phillips’ limited playing time at City, with the midfielder having failed to start a single league game since his £45m move from Leeds last summer.
This move by Liverpool also comes after the club ended their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham, due to the potential cost involved in completing a deal for the highly-rated youngster.
While Liverpool are reportedly interested in Phillips, they are not the only club said to be monitoring his situation, with West Ham also believed to be keen on the 27-year-old. Phillips has started just two games in all competitions for City so far this season, and a move away from the Etihad Stadium could provide him with the regular game time that he needs to continue his development as a player.
