Zidane one of the greatest

Zidane is widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time, having won numerous accolades throughout his illustrious career. He spent five years at Juventus, from 1996 to 2001, during which time he won two Serie A titles, the Supercoppa Italiana, and reached the Champions League final twice. In total, he made 151 appearances for the club, scoring 24 goals.

After his stint with Juventus, Zidane moved to Real Madrid in a then-world record transfer fee of €77.5 million. He went on to win two La Liga titles, the UEFA Champions League, and the UEFA Super Cup, among other honours. He retired from playing in 2006, having won the FIFA World Cup with France in 1998 and reached the final in 2006, where he famously headbutted Marco Materazzi and was sent off.

As a manager, Zidane achieved remarkable success with Real Madrid, winning three consecutive Champions League titles between 2016 and 2018, as well as a La Liga title, two UEFA Super Cups, two FIFA Club World Cups, and a Supercopa de España. He left the club in 2021, having won 11 trophies in just over two-and-a-half years in charge.

Juventus struggles

Juventus, on the other hand, have struggled to replicate their success of the past few seasons. The club has been in a state of transition and their recent performances have been underwhelming, with the team currently sitting outside of the top four in Serie A.

Should Zidane take over at Juventus, he would be tasked with turning the club’s fortunes around and leading them to success in both domestic and European competitions. With his wealth of experience as both a player and a coach, Zidane could be the perfect man for the job.
