Carlo Ancelotti, one of the most successful football managers in history, has confirmed that he will continue his role as the Real Madrid manager next season “without a doubt.”
Despite being linked with the vacant Brazil job, the Italian manager has stated that he will respect his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu, which runs until 2024.
Real Madrid are currently 13 points behind their arch-rivals, Barcelona, in the La Liga title race, but Ancelotti’s side still have a chance to win the Copa del Rey and the Champions League this season. They are set to face Osasuna in the Copa del Rey final and are currently 2-0 up against Chelsea in the Champions League quarter-finals.
Speaking in a press conference on Friday, Ancelotti reassured the fans, “I will be here next season, without a doubt. I believe Florentino [Perez] wants me to continue. The club is relaxed and I am sure I will remain here next season and that we will respect the contract.”
Ancelotti’s confirmation comes as a big relief to the Real Madrid fans, who have seen their club go through a turbulent period in recent years. The Italian’s return to the club last summer was met with a lot of excitement, as he had previously won the Champions League with Real Madrid in 2014.
Under Ancelotti’s leadership, Real Madrid have played some scintillating football this season, and their recent performances in the Champions League have been particularly impressive. Ancelotti’s experience and tactical knowledge have been instrumental in getting the best out of his squad, which is full of talented players.
Despite the club’s current position in the La Liga table, Ancelotti’s words suggest that the club is confident of making a comeback and challenging for the title next season. The fans will undoubtedly be looking forward to seeing what the future holds for the club under the experienced manager’s guidance.
