Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp has opened up about his plans for the upcoming summer transfer window, which will see the club embark on a rebuilding process.
The German coach is keen on revitalizing his squad to regain their status as title contenders, but acknowledges that the need for a rebuild has taken them by surprise.
Klopp expressed, “It’s like being in a whirlwind that drags you in a particular direction. And before you know it, you realize, ‘wow, where are we?'”
He believes that the club must undergo this process, and that a new start is inevitable given that it is a new season. Klopp added that they will assess what changes need to be made, but for now, they must go through this challenge.
He further highlighted that it is a massive challenge in the modern world of football, and one that was not easy 20 years ago, but now seems close to impossible. Nonetheless, Klopp is determined to navigate the challenges ahead and help Liverpool return to their former glory.
