Mombasa and Kitale are set to clash in an explosive semifinal of the KRU Nationwide National Semis.
Mombasa, a former Kenya Cup side and 1997 Enterprise Cup champions, will take on North Rift side Kitale in what is expected to be a thrilling encounter. The winner of this match will secure a berth in next season’s Championship, joining the winner of the second semifinal between JKUAT Cougars and Moi University Arsonists.
To reach the semis, Mombasa had to work hard for their 18-13 victory over Sigalagala in Mombasa, while Kitale claimed a low-scoring 9-3 win over Administration Police Warriors in their quarterfinal clash.
In the other quarterfinal matches, JKUAT Cougars secured a 19-8 win over Machakos University, while Moi University Arsonists emerged victorious with a 33-15 win over Makueni.
The KRU Nationwide National Semis promise to be an exciting affair, with top teams battling it out for a chance to earn promotion to the Championship.

The matches are scheduled for Saturday, April 8, 2022, with the Mombasa vs Kitale match taking place at Mombasa Sports Club and the JKUAT Cougars vs Moi University Arsonists match being held at JKUAT Ground in Juja, both kicking off at 3:00 pm.
