Harambee Stars hand Omune, Nondi starts against Iran

Harambee Stars coach Engin Firat has announced his starting lineup for the upcoming international friendly against Iran.

Patrick Matasi will return to the goalpost after being out of the team for a while. The backline will be composed of Brian Mandela, Joseph Okumu, Amos Nondi, and Eric Ouma.

In midfield, Victor Omune will make his debut for the national team and will be joined by Duke Abuya, Richard Odada, and Teddy Akumu.

The captain’s armband will be worn by Michael Olunga, who will lead the line alongside Masud Juma.

The match, which will be Kenya’s first in over 18 months, is scheduled to kick off at 8 pm EAT at the Azadi Sports Complex in Tehran, Iran. Fans can follow the match live online.

On the bench, Ian Otieno, Byrne Odhiambo, Johnstone Omurwa, David Ochieng, Daniel Anyembe, Daniel Sakari, Abud Omar, Alpha Onyango, Kenneth Muguna, Abdallah Hasann, Wilkims Ochieng, Elvis Rupia, and Alfred Scriven will be ready to offer support when called upon.
