Edday Nderitu, the wife of Kikuyu musician Samidoh, took it to her social media handles almost a month ago expressing her discontent with her husband.
She gave him a deadline and hinted that she had ended their 15-year marriage because of the difficulties they had endured.
“It has been exactly 15 years of marriage full of ups and down, it was humble beginning where little was enough for us, for the last 3 years it has been nothing but pain.
“I have remained faithful to you regardless of disrespect, humiliation and being trolled on social media…you’ve made me look dumb and took my silence for granted,” she wrote.
Edday went on to say that she will not raise her children in a polygamous environment and accused Karen Nyamu of destroying her home.
“I have helped you nurture your talent and supported you through it all, but one thing I have said to you and I am saying here again I will not raise my kids in a polygamy family [sic], especially with a woman who is older than me by more than 10yrs, has no morals and zero respect to my family’kiura Kia ngaba’ as you put it.”
She has now taken to TikTok to share a video challenge of Harmonize’s song ‘single again’ using the hashtags ‘Single again’.
Fans were not left behind though. One fan told her that she would never divorce Samidoh because she has no other options.
Others urged Edday to stay in her marriage but consider herself a single woman. “Usitoke Edday we are all single again in our marriages at some point,” said user mercygichuhi836.
