Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been hit with two additional rape charges following a new investigation by the Metropolitan Police.
The charges, announced on February 12, 2026, are linked to alleged incidents said to have taken place in 2020. The latest development brings the total number of complainants to four.
Police confirmed that the fresh counts come after further inquiries into the case.
Before the new charges, Partey had already been accused of five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault. These allegations relate to incidents reported between 2021 and 2022.
In September 2025, he pleaded not guilty to those six charges.
His legal representatives have stated that he continues to deny all accusations and has fully cooperated with investigators.
Partey is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on March 13, 2026, for a preliminary hearing on the two latest charges.
Meanwhile, the trial for the earlier six counts is set to begin on November 2, 2026, at Southwark Crown Court.
The court process is expected to address all matters separately based on the charges filed.
The Ghanaian midfielder is currently playing for Spanish side Villarreal. He signed a one-year contract in August 2025 after leaving Arsenal at the end of his deal.
Although he remains on conditional bail, Partey is allowed to continue his professional career. However, he must inform the police at least 24 hours before travelling abroad and is prohibited from contacting any of the complainants.
With new charges now added, the legal proceedings against Partey are set to expand in the coming months.
Authorities have not released further details as investigations continue.
