French midfielder Paul Pogba has been named the Best Comeback Player at the Globe Soccer Awards 2025, marking a powerful return after a difficult period in his career.
While receiving the award, an emotional Pogba opened up about the challenges he has faced. He said the road back was not easy and described the moment as very special to him and his family.
“It is an honour to be here. It has been a long journey, and it was not easy. Many people go through tough moments in life. This award means a lot to my wife and me. We have been through so much together,” Pogba said.
He added that his wife stood by him during the hard times, while his children helped keep his spirits high.
Pogba also took time to thank AS Monaco for believing in him when it mattered most. He appreciated the club, his teammates and fans who supported him throughout his struggles.
“Thank you to Monaco for trusting me, to my teammates, and to everyone who sent messages during the difficult times,” he said.
The former Juventus and Manchester United star also praised Cristiano Ronaldo, describing him as a major source of inspiration in football.
“Cristiano, you are here, and you have inspired all of us as a football player. You did this for the next generation. Big thank you, Cristiano,” Pogba stated.
