Kisumu residents were left shocked after a young man rented an entire bus and travelled alone to Nairobi. The incident happened on Sunday and quickly attracted a crowd at the Kisumu bus terminal.
Witnesses say the man, believed to be in his early 30s, recently sold a piece of land in Nyakach. Instead of taking a normal public transport seat, he surprised everyone by booking all 51 seats in the bus.
According to one of the bus attendants, the man said he did not like noise and wanted a peaceful journey. This unusual request forced other travellers who had planned to board the same bus to find alternative vehicles.
The man was seen wearing flashy clothes and sunglasses as he sat alone by the window, waving as the empty bus left the terminal. Some people stayed behind just to witness the rare moment.
One resident commented in concern, saying: “He has a right to enjoy his wealth, but I hope he invests wisely.”
Details about his financial status remain unclear, but sources say he intends to invest in a business once he arrives in Nairobi. His bold move has already gone viral, earning him the nickname “The VIP Passenger” on social media.
