Ester Njeri, a self-described “pure village virgin girl,” initially set her dowry at KSh 20 million, citing her virginity and rarity. She said virgin girls like her, called “kienyejiii girls” in Kenya, are difficult to find.
However, due to few suitors coming forward, Njeri announced she is now willing to accept KSh 15 million. She said the decision is because of a “dry spell” and her struggle to find a husband.
Njeri stated that she is adaptable, fears God, and is ready to marry any man willing to pay the revised dowry. She urged men not to fear approaching her and emphasised her willingness to proceed with marriage.
