Jordan Scheck claimed victory in the Jubilee Live Race held in Nairobi, clocking 1:30:39 in a thrilling finish that saw more than 3,500 cyclists from 20 nationalities take part.

Scheck narrowly edged out Kenya’s Charles Kagiliru, who finished just a second behind at 1:30:40. John Muchiri completed the men’s podium in third place with a time of 1:33:50.

In the women’s race, Mehamit Hadush emerged champion, finishing in 1:38:21. She was followed by Mary Aleper at 1:46:55, while Jamila Abdula secured third position in 1:47:08.

Speaking at the event, Jubilee Holdings Chairman Zul Abdul said the race has grown beyond a sporting competition into a global platform for wellness and community development.

“What began in 2021 as a cycling event has transformed into a global platform for wellness, inclusivity, financial planning, and community impact. Much like life insurance, it continues to evolve into a lifelong promise of protection and care. We are proud to see how this event unites communities across borders,” said Abdul.

Jubilee Insurance, the title sponsor, invested KES 20 million in this year’s edition, bringing its total support since 2022 to over KES 100 million.

Caroline Ndungu, Jubilee Holdings Head of Communications, said the company is using the event to promote wellness and financial awareness.

“Through the Jubilee Live Race, we are championing wellness while reminding communities that financial security is central to living free. This race is about people, resilience, and the future we want to build together,” she said.

Now in its fourth edition, the Jubilee Live Free Race continues to cement Nairobi’s position as a hub for international sports tourism.

With KES 4 million in prizes, the event has gained global recognition and inspired athletes to push boundaries, symbolising the same spirit of freedom and security that Jubilee promotes through life insurance.
