At just 37, Shiko has become a household name in Kiambu. Her story began with a borrowed sufuria, a bag of millet, and mornings spent selling hot uji to factory workers for ten shillings a cup. “Life was very hard, but I never gave up,” she recalls.
What was once a survival hustle has now blossomed into a business empire strong enough to build her a luxurious home in Ruiru.
