In the lakeside town of Homa Bay, whispers of a sudden transformation have captured the attention of many.
It is the story of Samuel Otieno, a 32-year-old man who says his life turned around completely after years of unexplainable bad luck and one unexpected visit to a traditional healer named Dr Bokko.
For years, Samuel was the kind of man people pitied. He had the qualifications, the energy, and the will to work, but every opportunity slipped away. He would get called for interviews but never be hired. Whenever he started a business, something would go wrong a deal collapsing, a partner backing out, or an unexpected loss.
“I used to say I was cursed,” he admits, shaking his head. “Even the phone I used would crash right before I got an important call.”
