A Kenyan woman has filed a case at the High Court, accusing popular Kikuyu musician Samuel Muchoki Ndirangu, known as Samidoh, of raping her nearly four years ago in the United States.
The woman, identified as M.R.W., claims the assault happened on November 28, 2021, at an Airbnb apartment in Overland Park, Kansas, while the artist was on tour.
According to her petition, the matter was reported to the Overland Park Police Department and recorded under Case No. 2023022021. The file was later referred to the Kansas District Attorney’s Office, but no prosecution followed.
Through her lawyers, Kaaya Memba & Company Advocates, M.R.W. now wants Kenyan agencies compelled to take action. She cites Section 41 of the Sexual Offences Act (2006), which allows prosecution of Kenyan citizens for sexual crimes committed abroad.
She has named the Inspector-General of Police, the DCI, the DPP, and the Attorney General as respondents, accusing them of ignoring her complaint filed in June 2025.
The petitioner claims to have digital evidence, including text messages and audio clips, which she says contain threats and insults from the musician.
She is also asking the court to ensure her evidence is preserved, that U.S. files are obtained through mutual legal assistance, and that she is placed under witness protection due to security fears.
M.R.W. argues that the failure of state agencies to pursue her case has violated her constitutional rights and left her vulnerable to intimidation and emotional harm.
Samidoh, who is listed as an interested party in the case, has not issued any public response to the allegations.
