Manchester United have reportedly placed Harry Kane among their top summer transfer targets as the club looks to boost its frontline. United’s interest comes after a slow start to the 2025/26 Premier League season, with the club searching for a proven finisher.
Kane joined Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023 for around €100 million. Since then, he has been lethal in front of goal, scoring 98 goals in 103 appearances across competitions.
However, silverware has been limited. His biggest achievement so far with Bayern remains the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup title.
Under the striker’s current contract, Kane holds a €65 million release clause, which becomes active in 2026. To activate it, he must inform Bayern of his decision before the close of the winter transfer window.
In addition, former club Tottenham Hotspur retain matching rights on any valid offer, meaning they could attempt to bring him back if he chooses to leave Germany.
At 32, Kane remains in top form, but his future is uncertain. If he decides to move, Manchester United will face strong competition from Chelsea, Barcelona, and other European giants.
