Police in Eldoret are investigating a disturbing incident after a middle-aged man received a parcel containing three severed human fingers and six bullets.
The man said a boda boda rider called him to pick up the package in the CBD on Friday.
When he opened the envelope, he was stunned by what he found. Frightened, he raised the alarm, drawing curious onlookers who quickly alerted the police.
Officers rushed to the scene and moved the fingers to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) mortuary for preservation and examination. The bullets were taken to Eldoret Central Police Station for ballistic testing.
Police say the sender is still unknown. The boda boda rider who delivered the parcel is cooperating with detectives as the investigation continues.
