Bernard Kipkosgei Koyumi, better known as Pavillion Motiryot, is facing robbery with violence and assault charges at the Kibera Law Courts. The prosecution claims he robbed comedian Bella Comedy of KSh 30,000 and a Redmi 14 Pro smartphone valued at KSh 26,000, before physically attacking her with kicks and blows.
The alleged assault took place on August 9, 2025, during the Kutit Cultural Festival at Carnivore Gardens. Bella is said to have sustained injuries as a result of the attack.
The accused pleaded not guilty before Principal Magistrate C.M. Njagi. The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has lined up five witnesses to testify in the upcoming hearing scheduled for September 23, 2025.
Initially granted a KSh 500,000 bond, Koyumi has since been offered an alternative cash bail of KSh 500,000, on condition that he provides two contact persons to ensure his compliance with court appearances.
