  • Bukayo Saka ruled out for up to four weeks with a hamstring problem.
  • An injury happened during Arsenal’s 5–0 win over Leeds United.
  • Mikel Arteta says it’s a “significant” but not long-term setback.
  • Early scans show it’s less serious than first feared.
  • Arsenal to rely on squad depth during his absence.

Bukayo Saka picked up a hamstring injury in Arsenal’s big 5–0 victory against Leeds United. The winger had to come off during the match, raising immediate concerns for the club.

Manager Mikel Arteta later confirmed that the substitution was injury-related. He admitted the problem is “significant” but stressed it is not considered long-term. Reports suggest the winger could be out for three to four weeks.

According to The Times, the first medical checks revealed the damage was not as bad as feared. This gives Arsenal hope that Saka may return sooner than expected, but his recovery will still be handled carefully.

Saka’s absence comes at a tough time, with Arsenal facing a crowded fixture list in both the Premier League and Europe. Losing one of their most important players is a huge challenge.

Arteta explained that the team must step up in Saka’s absence.

“The replacement of Saka is going to be the team,” he said, pointing to the squad’s depth and adaptability as the way forward.
