  • The offer includes up to 20% off, with perks aimed at promoting both local tourism and customer value.
  • The partnership links lifestyle banking with unique travel experiences.
  • Both brands hope to boost local travel and card activity through the new deal.

SBM Bank Kenya and Serena Hotels have officially joined hands in a new deal that brings extra value to SBM cardholders. The announcement was made at Nairobi Serena Hotel, where the benefits are already active.

As part of the deal, SBM customers can now enjoy up to 20% discounts when they visit Serena properties across Kenya. The package includes 20% off select meals, like the popular Seafood Fridays and weekend brunches, 15% off room bookings, and 10% off spa sessions at Maisha Spa.

Beth Thuo, SBM’s Director of Consumer Banking, said the move reflects the bank’s goal to give customers more than just basic banking. “People today want more value from their banks,” she said. “This partnership gives them access to beautiful places and top services at better rates.”

Serena’s Regional Marketing Director, Maureen Okore, described the partnership as a natural blend of tourism and smart finance. “We’re helping people create memorable getaways without breaking the bank. And we’re proud that more locals can now enjoy what Serena has to offer,” she said.

A Boost for Local Travel

The partnership also fits into both brands’ long-term plans—SBM’s focus on customer lifestyle and Serena’s push for stronger domestic tourism. It’s not just about savings; it’s about helping Kenyans explore their own country in comfort and style.

With the collaboration now live, both SBM and Serena hope to see more card activity and bookings across their networks. As the local travel scene grows, this deal could be a sign of more creative partnerships to come.
