- Albert’s father, Meshack, says the family will only lay him to rest after justice is delivered.
- No burial date has been fixed yet.
- The family insists that all individuals behind the killing must first be arrested and held accountable.
- They believe Albert’s soul will only rest once justice is done.
- The burial will proceed only when the family feels closure has been achieved.
Meshack Ojwang’, the father of the late Albert Omondi Ojwang’, has spoken out, saying the family has not made any funeral plans because they are still seeking justice for their son.
Speaking to the media, he explained that their main focus now is accountability, not burial preparations.
The family says they will not proceed with the burial unless those who caused Albert’s death are known, arrested, and punished. According to Meshack, they believe Albert’s spirit cannot rest until justice is served.
“We haven’t planned the burial yet,” he said. “We want those responsible for Albert’s death to be fully held to account. Only then will we begin thinking of laying him to rest.”
Seeking Peace Through Justice
Meshack added that their son’s peace will only come after justice is achieved. For now, the family remains firm—they won’t bury Albert until the legal process is complete.
“When we are sure justice has been done, that’s when we’ll be ready to give him a proper send-off,” he noted.
