- The influencer’s death in custody remains under public scrutiny.
Seth Odongo, widely known as Dikembe Disembe, has spoken out defending Deputy Inspector General Eliud Langat in the ongoing debate over the death of online influencer Albert Ojwang. According to him, the blame lies not with the DIG, but with those who allegedly funded a campaign to tarnish Langat’s image.
Claims of Political Setup
Dikembe went further, claiming through a series of posts on X that Ojwang was used as a tool to attack Langat. He pointed fingers at individuals he believes orchestrated the smear, suggesting former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua could be among them.
“The Blood Is Not on Langat’s Hands”
In one of his tweets, Dikembe wrote:
“The blood of Ojwang is squarely on those who rented him to smear the DIG. They are known. The DIG complained to the same authorities any Kenyan should to protect his name and reputation. What was he to do?”
Doubts Over Ojwang’s Identity
Right after reports of Ojwang’s death surfaced, Dikembe cast doubts on the influencer’s very existence. He suggested that the story may have been fabricated to provoke ethnic anger, especially within the Luo community.
“Albert Ojwang is meant to manufacture Luo rage. Desperation to bring the Luo to the war… ‘Popular X influencer’ on a non-existent handle,” he posted.
Public Still Demands Answers
While voices like Dikembe’s attempt to shift the narrative, Kenyans online continue to demand transparency and accountability. The full details around Ojwang’s death and the people behind the alleged online propaganda remain unclear.
