Senator Tabitha Karanja Denies Hospitalization Claim, Says She’s in Good Health

  • Nakuru Senator Tabitha Karanja has dismissed rumors that she is sick or admitted to a hospital.
  • The claims, which she says are politically motivated, emerged during her vacation in London.
  • She stated that such lies are spread by bloggers funded through public money.
  • Karanja accused Governor Susan Kihika’s allies of pushing a false narrative for sympathy and politics.
  • Tensions between the two leaders have remained high, especially after recent service delivery disputes.
  • The Senator said she will not be shaken as she performs her oversight role.

While on a personal trip abroad, Nakuru Senator Tabitha Karanja has come out to strongly refute allegations that she is unwell. Speaking from London, the Senator stated clearly that she is in perfect health and simply taking a short break during the Senate recess.

Senator Blames Politically Driven Misinformation

Karanja pointed fingers at individuals she claims are close to Nakuru’s county administration for spreading what she called “cheap propaganda.” She accused them of using public money meant for development to sponsor online influencers to spread falsehoods about her health.

Governor Kihika’s Statement Triggers Political Storm

The matter gained public attention after Governor Susan Kihika, while speaking on a local radio station, alleged that Karanja was receiving treatment at a cancer centre in London. Although Kihika added a message of recovery, wishing the Senator well, Karanja did not take it kindly.

“Cruel and Inhumane” – Senator Slams the Message

In a sharp response, Senator Karanja dismissed the governor’s comments, accusing her and her allies of using health as a political weapon. She termed the rumours not only misleading but heartless, saying no leader should joke about terminal illness.

Political Clash Between Nakuru Women Leaders Escalates

This exchange adds to the growing political tension between the two leaders. Just weeks ago, Karanja faulted Kihika’s administration for failure to reopen the War Memorial Hospital despite a court directive. She also called out the Governor for not making her maternity leave public.

2027 Politics Already Taking Shape in Nakuru

As both women eye their political futures, their rivalry continues to shape Nakuru’s political scene. Senator Karanja maintained that she would continue to speak out and do her job without fear or favour, despite the pressure and political noise.
