‘Duty Over Comfort’ – Nyamu’s Message of Strength

While looking back at her journey, Nyamu shared how she campaigned for her senatorial seat while pregnant. She said it was not to prove anything, but because she felt it was her responsibility to serve.

“True leadership is not about ease, it’s about sacrifice and showing up when needed,” she stated.

She called for inclusive leadership, saying that anyone—be it a student, parent, or farmer—has the potential to lead with strength and purpose.

Nyamu also paid tribute to her father, Mr. Nyamu, whom she described as the rock behind her success. She reminded young people not to limit their goals because of fear or circumstances.

“Never shrink your dreams to fit your situation. The world needs what only you can offer,” she told the audience.

Nyamu ended her remarks by thanking Queen Mariam Torres Mastura and the We Care for Humanity team, promising to work even harder in the global mission to promote peace and support humanitarian causes.
