MCA Grace Nduta Spent Night with MP Koimburi During Alleged Abduction, DCI Says

  • MCA Grace Nduta Wairimu arrested over alleged fake abduction plot involving Juja MP George Koimburi.
  • Investigators say she spent the night with Koimburi at Ellis Bar in Kiganjo, not in Kangema as claimed.
  • CCTV footage reportedly disproves her statement of attending church and rallies.
  • The abduction is now believed to have been staged.
  • DCI confirms more updates will be released as probe continues.

Drama unfolded on Wednesday, May 29, 2025, after detectives arrested Grace Nduta Wairimu, the MCA for Kanyenya-ini Ward in Murang’a County. Her arrest came as part of an active investigation into a stage-managed abduction involving Juja Member of Parliament, Hon. George Koimburi.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) revealed that they were responding to widespread social media reports surrounding her alleged disappearance. However, new findings pointed to a different story — one that exposed a suspected plan to mislead the public using a fake kidnapping narrative.

CCTV Footage Disproves Her Statement

While Grace Nduta earlier told police she was in Kangema on May 25 attending church and political events, investigators say that was false. Evidence collected by the DCI indicates that she was actually with MP Koimburi the entire night at Ellis Bar and Restaurant in Kiganjo, Gatundu South.

“Despite her claims of being in Kangema and attending church services and political rallies, evidence clearly shows she was at Ellis Bar and Restaurant with Hon. George Koimburi the entire night,” the statement from DCI read.

Her arrest now deepens the mystery behind the MP’s disappearance saga, which appears to have been carefully orchestrated. It is believed the plan was aimed at drawing public sympathy or diverting attention from another motive.

The DCI has assured the public that further details will be released as the investigation progresses.
