A woman’s bold social media post has landed her in serious trouble after detectives acted swiftly on a tip-off about a disturbing WhatsApp status she shared. Sharon was arrested in Awasi town after posting a photo of herself holding a pistol, accompanied by a warning that any man who dared leave her would regret it.
Following her arrest, Sharon cooperated with investigators and led them to a rented two-bedroom house. The home belonged to her friend, identified as Nancy Atieno Obura, who was also taken into custody and is now a co-accused in the case.
A detailed search of the house revealed a Canik pistol hidden inside a basin beneath the bed. The weapon, which had no magazine, was carefully wrapped in clothes. In addition, officers discovered a fake motorcycle number plate marked KMGG 805M.
Sharon and Nancy are now being held in police custody as detectives intensify efforts to track down other individuals possibly linked to the illegal firearm. The two are expected to be arraigned soon as investigations continue.
More updates will follow as the case unfolds.
