Moses Kuria Criticizes Chaos During Gachagua’s Church Visit

  • CS Moses Kuria condemns political drama at PCEA Mwiki.
  • Compares it to the infamous chaos at AIPCA Kenol.
  • Warns leaders against turning churches into political arenas.
  • Says what happened was disrespectful and shameful.
  • Sends words of comfort to Deputy President Gachagua.

Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has come out strongly against the commotion that broke out during Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s visit to PCEA Mwiki.

The incident, which saw political tensions flare within the church, drew sharp criticism from Kuria, who said such acts are unacceptable and disrespect sacred grounds.

“This was pure shame. A church is not a place to fight political wars. Let’s keep politics far from the altar. What happened today is a disgrace. The consequences are yet to come. Pole sana Rigathi,” Kuria posted

Flashbacks of AIPCA Kenol Chaos

Kuria likened the PCEA incident to the AIPCA Kenol chaos that marred the political atmosphere back in 2020. In both cases, violence and political rivalries spilled into religious institutions, raising concerns about how far politicians are willing to go.

He stressed that the house of God should never be used as a platform for power struggles, warning that such actions will only backfire on those involved.

Is the Line Between Politics and Church Now Blurred?

The incident has reignited the national conversation on whether politicians are taking things too far by dragging their feuds into places of worship.
