  • Talks still ongoing for teammates Alexander-Arnold and Van Dijk.

Liverpool’s attacking icon Mohamed Salah has committed to another two years at Anfield, putting an end to months of uncertainty about his future.

The 32-year-old Egyptian forward, who had sparked transfer rumours with public comments during the season, was widely expected to leave when his contract ran out in the summer. Interest from Saudi clubs only added fuel to the fire.

But with the new agreement now signed, Salah will remain with Liverpool through to 2027, extending what has already been a glittering chapter in his career.

“I Still Have More to Achieve Here” – Salah

Speaking after the announcement, Salah expressed confidence in Liverpool’s ability to win more trophies, highlighting both the club’s ambition and his personal satisfaction.

“I’m very happy. We have a solid team and a real chance to lift more titles. I’ve enjoyed my football here and hopefully, I’ll make it to 10 years at this great club,” he said.

Having already spent eight seasons with the Reds, Salah is hoping to continue his rich form and end his time in England on a high note.

Record-Breaking Season Still Ongoing

Salah’s influence this season remains unmatched. He has already scored 32 goals in all competitions, with 27 of those coming in the Premier League.

Statistically, he is leading the league with the highest goal involvement per 90 minutes (1.44), a feat no other player has achieved in a single season.

Liverpool are currently sitting comfortably at the top, 11 points ahead of Arsenal with just seven games left — and Salah has played a crucial role in that success.

Legacy at Liverpool Keeps Growing

Since joining from Roma in 2017, Salah has helped Liverpool to numerous titles including the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.

Now with 243 goals and 109 assists in 394 games, his impact on Merseyside is undisputed — and the new deal suggests there’s more to come.

Other Big Names Still in Contract Talks

While Salah’s future is sealed, uncertainty looms over teammates Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk. Both are entering the final months of their current deals.

Van Dijk has hinted that talks are progressing, but Alexander-Arnold continues to be linked with a possible switch to Spanish giants Real Madrid.

No Pay Cut for the Egyptian Star

Salah’s previous contract made him Liverpool’s highest-paid player ever, earning over £350,000 per week.

Sources close to the negotiations indicate that the new contract doesn’t include a pay cut — a clear sign of how much the club values their star forward.
