Betting Firms Reveal Monthly Revenues: Here’s the Full List

  • Betika tops the list with over KSh 3.5 billion in earnings.
  • Milestone leads in profit margin, with 46% retention from revenues.
  • Several firms posted negative returns, including Shabiki and Alfa Bet.
  • Smaller players recorded profits below KSh 5 million, with some reporting zero or losses.
  • Fame Bet had an impressive 72% retention, despite earning less compared to top firms.

Betting companies in Kenya are making billions, with some recording incredibly high returns. A recent breakdown of their monthly earnings shows a huge difference between top players and low-tier firms, with profits ranging from billions to negative figures.

Leading the Pack: Betika and Milestone

Betika is the most profitable firm, securing a whopping KSh 3.59 billion in monthly earnings. This accounts for 26% of its revenue being retained as profit.

On the other hand, Milestone recorded KSh 1.29 billion in retention, but what’s notable is its 46% retention rate—one of the highest among all the companies.

Noteworthy Performers

Odibets maintained strong numbers with KSh 820 million, holding 30% as profit.

MozzartBet followed closely with KSh 794 million and a 33% profit margin.

Gamemania, 1xBet, and Bangbet also posted healthy profits ranging between KSh 122M–412M, with retention percentages hovering around 30%.

Fame Bet stood out with the highest retention rate at 72%, even though its total earning was KSh 45 million.

Mid-Tier and Lower Earning Firms

Some companies such as Pepea Bets, Pakamuu, Betpawa, and Nuntis earned between KSh 46M and KSh 67M, with profit margins varying from 12% to 27%.

Firms like Cheza Cash, Tushinde Bet, Maybets, and Game Pawa earned slightly below KSh 5 million, while still managing to retain around 10%–30% of revenue.

Firms Operating at a Loss

Surprisingly, several betting firms reported negative returns, meaning they lost money in the period:

Shabiki posted a loss of KSh 106.4 million with a shocking -384% margin.

Others in the red included Alfa Bet (-KSh 190K), Moss Bet (-KSh 86K), Sanifu Bet (-KSh 60K), and Mchezo Bet (-KSh 170K).

Some, like Jet Bet and Dafa Bet, recorded zero returns.

While the betting industry in Kenya remains highly profitable for top firms like Betika and Milestone, the large number of companies operating at a loss or making minimal profit paints a picture of a competitive and risky business environment. The data highlights both the massive revenue potential and the harsh realities facing smaller or struggling betting operators.
