Kenya Asks Vietnam to Stop Margaret Nduta’s Execution

  • He asked Vietnam to delay the execution while Kenya seeks a solution.
  • Vietnam is now considering Kenya’s request.

Kenya is working to stop the execution of Margaret Nduta Macharia in Vietnam. Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary Korir Sing’Oei said he spoke with a top Vietnamese official about the case.

“I told Vietnam that Kenya is very concerned about this execution and asked them to delay it so we can find a solution,” Sing’Oei said.

He added that Vietnamese authorities are now thinking about Kenya’s request.

At the same time, Kenya’s office in Bangkok, Thailand, is closely watching the case and working to help Nduta.

Now, Kenya is waiting to hear if Vietnam will stop the execution.
