The Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) has been hit by tragedy following the sudden death of Fredrick Parsayo, a respected journalist with the national broadcaster.
Parsayo was discovered dead at his home in Kinoo, Kikuyu constituency, on Friday, March 21, 2025. The circumstances surrounding his passing remain unclear, prompting authorities to launch an investigation.
Confirming the heartbreaking news, KBC described Parsayo as a dedicated professional whose contributions to the newsroom will be deeply missed.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our esteemed colleague, Fredrick Parsayo, a valued journalist in our Editorial Department. His untimely demise has left us in shock, and we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues,” KBC stated.
His body has since been moved to St. Teresa Mortuary, with authorities at Kinoo Police Station handling the case.
KBC further expressed its grief, noting that Parsayo’s presence in the newsroom had left an indelible mark.
“Fredrick was more than just a journalist; he was a respected team player whose passion for storytelling was unmatched. We stand in solidarity with his family during this difficult time,” the statement added.
