The media industry is mourning the sudden passing of veteran journalist Nick Mudimba, who collapsed at home on Sunday, March 24 after taking his prescribed medication.

Mudimba, who had been receiving treatment for high uric acid levels, was reportedly watching the Harambee Stars vs. Gabon match with his family when he suddenly convulsed and lost consciousness. Despite desperate efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at home.

His body has since been moved to a Syokimau mortuary, with the family awaiting an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

A Legacy in Journalism

Mudimba built an illustrious career in media, having worked with KTN and Switch TV before joining CGTN Africa as a senior reporter.

His colleagues have remembered him as a passionate and dedicated journalist, with tributes pouring in following his untimely demise.
